Any Given Sunday....

LOL, you know when I start off like this...things are not good. But, ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY, you can win or LOSE. They are men, they make mistakes...they don't step up when they need too...just a little man bashing to start off with. Familiar image in my mind is here to the left. I guess I can say the defense was decent in this game...would've been so much worse without them. Offensive line, not sure what game they were at...Some are inconsolable about this loss...CALM DOWN! One game at a time. Just CALM DOWN and get through one game at a time. This morning I was thinking of the game and replaying what I saw then I begin to feel the loss for some reason. Not panic, just disappointment. Then remembering Romo post-game. THIS quarterback, kiddos, THIS Romo man, is THE man. He's humble and now reminded that sometimes you have to lose against those teams like Philly who can beat ANY team in the league on ANY given Sunday weather their record shows it or not. And Ware, you were definitely the Cowboy's player of the game, in my infamous opinion. So, where are we? Rest, recoup and prepare for the next. One game at a time. Keep your eyes on the big picture folks....JANUARY. Yes, this is important but more importantly is that we have a physically and mentally HEALTHY Cowboy team to win the physical and mental COWBOY way!

OLDSCHOOL

18 seconds left. You know they CAN do it but will they? Old school Cowboy stuff. I have not seen THIS kind of "Cowboy stuff" since I was a child and maybe even a little in the Aikman/Irwin/Smith years. But THIS team, THIS Romo. Old school Cowboy stuff. No, I am wrong...Romo is more than old school. He's NEW school. He can bring to a game that none other can do. Most opponents will even give him that. FINALLY way on board the Romo train. Now that I am on board...not to worry. Those who know me, know I am not "fair weathered" at being a fan of anyone or any team. I will stick it out when hard times finally hit, and they will. Someday. Somehow. But for now, He's the man. No, he's not Brady. He's more, because this Romo "kid" is a kid that all of our kids can finally look up too. They can see he actually enjoys this little game called football. How refreshing. Romo is charmed for sure. Having players like TO, Barber and Witten makes Romo's job a bit easier though. And Romo couldn't do his "Romo-thing" without that Flo, Colombo, Gurode, Ellis and the other outstanding line guys. Did the Cowboys win this by 20? No. Are they hoping for that illustrious perfect season? No. But who the hell cares...we are THE COWBOYS winning that Cowboy Way!!
