Bad Day .. Huh?
So, you have a Bad Day? My ranting can not even begin to express the frustration and disappointment. I'm still in shock. Eagles 44, Cowboys 6, I think this is THE worst season-ending loss in history for this team. The Cowboys, now 9-7 for the third time in the past four years after the humiliating loss, now I will have to go back to my old saying...New Year New Team?? And I say that with such question. Man I HAVE to be the ultimate fan to still love those boys..."Because to me, and this is the scary part, the Cowboys lost more than a game here. Oh, we can sit here and say the Cowboys have never lost a season-ending game by 38 points. We can say the Cowboys have not suffered a worse loss since being beaten 43-3 by Minnesota in that 3-13 season of 1988. We can say this is the most points the Cowboys have given up in a season-finale in club history, two more than the previous high scored by San Francisco in 1983 and the third most points the Cowboys have given up in the past 55 games - having to go back to the 49-21 beating put on them by these same Eagles in 2004. These are just numbers, tangible accountings of a game that grew out of hand in the final two minutes of the first half, an implosion of sorts. Maybe as mighty as the one ultimately lowering the boom on Texas Stadium after all these years".
So, now the question is, How do we recover? Well it is like Jerry Jones says...no rash decisions but every single person involved going to the woodshed. Jerry kept saying how he has high expectations for this team. Well, of course. It's not like he doesn't probably have the highest payroll in the NFL, the most talent collected on one team... But this goes to show you have to have a strong leader. You have ONE guy to keep it together no matter what happens. This Cowboy team obviously does not have that in coaching, Romo, anywhere on the offense or defense. Not anywhere to be seen...so now the Boys are sent home beaten and bruised in every sense.
So I leave this incredibly horrible and disappointing season with this....
2009-2010... NEW YEAR, NEW TEAM!

I normally can't watch a whole game, but I couldn't tear myself away from this one. I was fascinated and embarassed all at the same time. But I guess now I have to root for Philly in the playoffs...if they win the Big Show, then we won't have to feel so bad. We can just pretend that we got beat by a really good team.
