Happy Birthday Kelly!

Well Kelly is almost 35...so Happy almost 35th Birthday girlie..we love you and appreciate you. On a side note, she got the prettiest roses today. How come I don't ever get flowers? I say flowers because I dont like roses too much... so what, it's not my birthday.. I am special dammit... I should always be spoiled... hmmmm, maybe I should rethink that, because in return I might have to be nice or kind and Lord knows I can't do that... Anyways, it's not about me today (imagine that). Happy Birthday Kelly!!

Just another typical weekend...

Sunday Sarah decides the weather is beautiful and we should meet at Ray Roberts for the day of bonding as friends and folicking...right...since when does anything we plan or do go without a hitch? Never... I am just so happy this wasn't initially MY idea. Anyways, we are going over the dam at Lake Ray Roberts and Candra and I notice a wheel going up the road in front of us. Low and behold, it's off Sarah's horse trailer (horses loaded). We were probably traveling about 55. Candra, mind you, is sitting right beside me say "hey mom, you see that". Ummmmm...Yeah mija..sitting right here...I see that...Well we pull over to check on Sarah and the horses, offer a little commentary and some support (not much, too many jokes and laughing involved). FINALLY, after about 25 vehicles pass by a lady carrying 2 horses decides to stop and offer help. You'd think in Texas AND in the country you'd get a little more help, even if the conditions were highly unsafe and very undesirable...still, 3 girls, side of the road...Texans should stop. Enough on that. We get the horses unloaded, reloaded and moved down to where we were headed in the first place. Sarah does manage to pull the trailer just off the dam and we decide, hell, it's the prettiest day ever...lets ride. Saddle them up...go ridin. I have not had so much fun in such a long time. More laughs, so much commentary (you have to read Sarah's blog for the story on the passer-byes and read Candra's comment). Ladies, a bad beginning turns out fine AGAIN. What is it with us? Are we doomed at the beginning of all our adventures? Can't wait until the next... Oh, yeah, that's this Saturday. 3 on 3 ladies...ready? Here's a couple of videos from the ride...not great quality but it's something. Oh yeah...it was also very windy so lots of background noise.

you guys know my theory...one is never enough...

"When the cat's away..."

I leave to go take care of Homecoming issues (Go GHS) with my precious babies and I come back to work to find this on my screen. I leave for less than an hour and the "girls" can't be trusted. The only productive thing they can do is mess with my area...that's it. You are all FIRED!! and I mean it this time!! Wait, forget it. I quit and I mean it this time!! Now to tell the owners of the company.... Forget it, too much effort. I am not near as energetic as the girls here in the office. Happy Friday ladies, and please don't forget ... payback is hell. One more thing, the rose was a nice touch. sweet of you guys.

Ranger game Sept 19 2006 Posted by Picasa
Well I went to the Rangers game last night. The Ballpark was beautiful as ever, empty, but nice. The weather was exceptional and the company was entertaining. I have the flu/cold/allergies and wasnt feeling very good, I almost called the whole night off. I am glad I didn't because I had too much fun. They lost, big surprise..right..anyways, onto more important business - 3 on 3 basketball...we need a name for our team. Come on ladies, be creative. Do I have to do EVERYTHING? Hell, I planned the event the very least you could do is come up with the 4th player and a name for us. Little help would be nice, even appreciated. UGH....frustration sits in.

I roped my girls into playing in some 3-on-3 basketball action in 2 weeks. (Even though SOMEONE was banned from making any more weekend plans, I AM BACK!!...) Feels so good to be in control again.

CRUE

After Candra's party Saturday Crue went home with his father. They had hauled some hay and it needed to be unloaded. So Sunday they unload it. Crue was standing on top of the bales of hay when the bottom row gave way. He fell and almost hit his head on a pole, threw his hand up to block the hit and hurt himself. Now this is the story I am getting, and they are sticking with it...ok, so I will buy it (not so sure about why a pole would be close enough to hit his head on..but ok...whatever). He comes home and his wrist is swollen. Not too bad but you could tell it probably hurts. Monday morning I decide maybe I should take him to the doctor. We are at the doc's office and he has his hand/arm x-rayed. They move us to a room. We (Candra and I) play with EVERYTHING in the room and then move on to diagnose Crue and look at his x-ray. Yep, it's so very clear. He's perfectly FINE. Big titty baby wimp (and we wonder why he hates going anywhere with us). Doc Gibbs comes into the room touches his arm and Crue tells him it doesn't really hurt it's just kinda numb and not real comfortable. Doc turns to look at the x-ray. He says..."well, there's the break" and points at it. I jumped up and said "what? I have already looked at it and diagnosed him" to which Doc replies "Candy, stop diagnosing your kids, you are NEVER right". Anyways, Crue gets a soft cast while the swelling goes down and yesterday we went for the hard cast. Crue...PLEASE don't be crazy the next couple of weeks. PLEASE take it easy...you are killing me. Here's the video for that...

She's 18...

Well as of September 9, my baby turned 18. Where the hell did the years go. She has turned into the best kid a mother could ever want...my baby, child, young lady and now best friend. Mija...I love you so much! I am very proud of who you are becoming. We had a dinner at a place called Babe's in Sanger where they sang Happy Birthday to her and she had to wear a chicken on her head, beak in her mouth and flap her arms. It's good she has a flare for dramatics and isn't very shy. Entertaining... Then onto Sutdio 82 in Lindsay. My friends have this club and were so kind to let us have a party there. WAY too much fun! Thanks a million Angel and Karina. Could not have turned out better. So much dancing and many laughs. We had the best time. I am not so sure Momma and Jerry liked our choice in music but they were troopers and stayed about an hour or so. As I was sitting with David I was looking on the dance floor at these beautiful "women" .. wait children...no they are women...only I remember when these women were in the 2nd grade and running around my house...so precious. Time marches on and they are still precious little girls to me...but the men think a bit differently. All that babbling just to say...Candra, you are an incredible young lady. I love you. This photo is from yesterday, we played hookie and went to watch a movie after Crue got his cast...more to come on that..

Old sweatshirt...

I have an old sweatshirt that was given to me that I absolutely love (the sweetshirt not the person that gave it to me). It's not ugly, yet not pretty, fits but doesn't. That's my life. Exactly like my sweatshirt...the people in my life I love dearly. It's a small and select group but they are the best. I am truly lucky and very blessed for each and every one of them. Video for my baby. Duelo always makes me think of you...

..."Because, these moments, as beautiufl as they are...they are evil when they are gone." - I heard this and it stayed with me...Can anyone tell me what this is from?
